Events, festivals and shows of various kinds are held throughout the year in the Collesalvetti area.
In September, for example, the annual Village Fair takes place – an event created to promote local agricultural produce, but which, over time, has included crafts and ancient trades. September is also the time for the “Settembre di…vino” (September of…wine), in the village of Nugola, with wine tastings and encounters with wine producers.
JULY
NOTTE CLARA, COLLESALVETTI. A festival through the streets of the town, which come alive with numerous cultural events, music and shows. The programme features gastronomic and craft stands that offer traditional handicraft products.
WILD BOAR FESTIVAL, COLOGNOLE. Typical culinary event focusing on the preparation of dishes from traditional Tuscan cuisine.
AUGUST
OPERA BY THE LAKE, COLLESALVETTI (Località Insuese). Symphonic opera concert by the lake Alberto. The performance takes place in the splendid natural setting of the Regional Nature Reserve, inside the Bellavista Insuese Estate.

SEPTEMBER
PALIO DEI CARRETTI, COLLESALVETTI. As part of the village fair, the typical ball-bearing cart race takes place in a circuit through the streets of the historic centre.

AGRICULTURAL HISTORICAL FAIR, COLLESALVETTI. It takes place on the first Tuesday of September. Market fair of local producers of honey, cheese, fruit, and sale of agricultural tools and implements. There are also creative workshops and demonstrations of traditional craftsmanship.
