Among the spots – in the language of surfers, the place where surfable waves break – loved by surfers, who flock to the coast, the Paolieri spot takes its name from the “Bagni Paolieri”, the nearby beach resort. This spot is very popular during the summer months. As for surfing, the best wave conditions are found with big mistral and libeccio swells. Here, the left-hand wave is very long, fairly easy and round; the major challenge being the rocks, which make it difficult to get in and out of the water.
Windsurfing is only possible with the afternoon winds, during the warm seasons; the mistral wind is never too strong and, therefore, equipment for medium-light winds is recommended.
